An Introduction/ Inspiration

An Introduction

First, let me welcome you to my page and thanks for stopping by. I hope that you will enjoy the topics and issues I blog about as well as provide feedback. And I am going to make it my priority to keep up to date with my posts. In any case, this my blog and I hope you enjoy what you read. And in a sense get to know me better. Basically, I am a diverse and open minded person. I have not been everywhere and done everything but will be open topics about life, the arts, travel, current events and having fun.
Inspiration
A close friend of mine was telling me yesterday that you're ready to be a star and to never shy away whats true in my heart. I have heard these things before from people but for some reason I never really felt that way until now. I have been playing music since I was five. It has always been near and dear to me. I was raised around music. Although, I have never admitted this as a kid but I liked performing. From plays to speeches to playing in bands to recitals, its always been exciting. But I digress, when she told be me that with such sincerity and faith I began to believe in myself. My biggest setback was procrastination. What you won't do, someone else will. And a lot of times we can be our own obstacles.
It took awhile for me to come around and admit how talented I am but I'm ready. My definition of a star is not limited to the popular people in entertainment or sports. You can be a star at anything you put your heart and mind into. It is neither arrogance nor popularity. A star's main function is to simply shine. Which I am going to do.
Booker T. Washington said "Excellence is to do a common thing in an uncommon way. I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed."
I just wanted to say on this first post thank you to everyone that have supported me, and to my close friends and family that have inspired me.
My website www.gclephresh.com is online now for you to access my latest music, videos, and the latest info.
Again, thank you all and let's get it in 2010.
